Giselle moved to the Creston Valley 14 yrs. ago, she was born in Fillmore Saskatchewan. Enjoying doing art all her life, Giselle tries to find time whenever she gets any spare moments to create. She loves to create, she has practiced drawing in pencil/pen, calligraphy, some clay, knitting, sewing and she loves to quilt. Giselle has taught herself all of her artistic talents. Her most favorite artistic memory is quilting with her mother. Everything Giselle sees influences her art, she can look at a piece of material and can imagine all the possibilities that she can do with it. It’s all in her imagination she says.

Her favorite is working on a project that has buttons because the end result is so satisfying to Giselle. A Go Purse can take up to two weeks if she does a lot of bead work and embroidery but if there is none of this Giselle can make a Go Purse in one day. Giselle is currently working on more purses but she would love to get back in to quilting. Giselle would like to learn more about how to paint and draw better. Giselle really enjoys creating her art projects she finds that she gets lost in it, time passes by before her eye.

Her oldest piece of art is a quilt Giselle made with her mother, they used no pattern, they had to piece it together themselves and after all is said and done the quilt is a family heirloom. Giselle’s favorite book is anything written by Sylvia Brown, she has collected every book Sylvia wrote. Bridges of Madison County is Giselle’s favorite movie.
